Another reason why oil prices are too high.
As I pray for discernment always I just love when GOD points me into a direction loud and clear.
This [The article below] has been my suspicion all along for all these World oil prices on the rise besides the obvious. It is not that the Middle East is the Culprit who is effecting are prices or really the wars etc etc. but also it is the EPA (with Politician support) as well as the Corporate hoards (with politician support) and both are most likely owned by the "you know who's" etc etc. But since we have shut down most of our refineries in the not so distant past to make gas and diesel (which refineries are really not effected mostly) the outrageous Squeeze seems to be because of the Elite wanting to drill back into the Pacific coast and whatever ocean off all countries, Alaska, and back in the States etc. And this is how they get their way is to squeeze the market to the point to where we all agree for them to get their way. Because we know most of the So called "earth friendly environment products, autos etc. really do not last long and are not really that environmentally safe since we find similar problems later on down the line as we always eventually see in impact studies down the line. I am not explaining that other environmental inventions are not good things to create like Solar and wind Power etc and saving the rain forests etc. but what I am saying is that since we now have the new technologies to battle earth pollutants and environmental hazards in micro climates, isn't it time we bring back oil drilling off our American coasts, Alaska etc. and rebuild the refineries and accept that this is what may be what these American and European Tycoons want and they will get it anyway they can? Look at the evidence now. This may be the other side of the coin that we are looking for and are not looking at I would think seriously. I ponder at the RUSH and deadlines in Dubai or I should say the Whole UAE and other nations not really mentioned that are seemingly rebuilding and rising up economically, the rumors of all the Middle eastern oil supply eventually running dry, the many conspiracy theories of this whole event, and whatever else you can add with or without imagination and or reason. Can you imagine America again just like the Middle East today at 45 cents a gallon of gas and an economy moving at fair price where even the Tycoons will make a killing at the market even at that price? Some pessimist's say it will never happen. Some Christian futurist's hope it never happens. But what if we are wrong? What if this is a reality and part of GOD's plan? It is something to ponder and look at carefully too along side all the other Biblical prophetic theories out there.

For the Lord will revoke sentence for His people and relent for His servants' sake when He sees that their power is gone and none remains, whether bond or free.

Congressman switches mind on ANWR
Chad Groening - OneNewsNow - 5/27/2008 10:00:00 AM
Roscoe Bartlett says he's co-sponsoring new legislation that will allow for oil and natural gas production in a small section of the Coastal Plain in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).
Congressman Bartlett (R-Maryland) says the bill is called "The American Energy Independence and Price Reduction Act" (H.R. 6107), which he has co-sponsored with Congressman Don Young (R-Alaska), ranking member of the House Natural Resources Committee.
Bartlett says he has resisted drilling in ANWR in the past because he believes those oil reserves are like money in the bank that is yielding huge interest rates. But he says this new provision dedicates the entire federal share of revenues from ANWR to increase the federal investments in the research, development, and production of alternative sources of energy.
"I always have said that I would vote to drill in ANWR when they use the revenues ... to invest in alternatives," Bartlett points out. "And that is true of the Continental Shelf. That's true of our public land."
Bartlett says this could also eventually lead to lower prices at the pump. "Investing this money in alternative sources of energy will eventually reduce gas prices because supply and demand will come forth to balance and the price will drop," he contends. "But it will do nothing for the price of gas tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow -- except what it does in the minds of the person who is speculating," he notes.
Ultimately supply and demand will control price, Bartlett contends. And he is convinced the impact on the environment will be minimal.
The bill will allow an additional one million barrels per day online in less than five years.
AND MORE NONSENSE FROM THE IMMORAL FRONTS OF FEDERALISM AND GLOBALISM.
Think oil prices hurt now? Just wait
Sky-high oil prices are causing pain at the pump, but bills for air conditioning this summer and heating next winter -- combined with rising food costs -- promise to squeeze U.S. consumers even more. With gas at $4.00 a gallon, households already have less to spend on a new grill at Home Depot; a vacation at Walt Disney's Disney World; a new TV from Best Buy Co; or a new "hog" from Harley-Davidson Co. And there are no signs things will get better soon for the consumer, long the driving force of U.S. economic growth. "For the areas of the economy that rely on heating oil, high fuel prices are going to be another blow to the consumer this winter," said Jack Kyser, chief economist at the LA County Economic Development Corp. "The hotter states will feel the pinch during the summer months but in the mid-America states where you get hot summers and cold winters, it's going to be very uncomfortable," he said. "This is going to eat into the disposable income of American consumers -- supposing they have any left." Oil prices, now $130 a barrel, have risen six-fold since 2002. On Wednesday, heating oil reached a record high above $3.90 a gallon and the price is expected to stay high. Heating oil, which cost $3.29 a gallon in January, will likely cost $3.83 in December, according to the government's Energy Information Administration. Those costs come at a time of rising food prices, forcing people to spend more on basics as wages fail to keep up. The effects on the economy could be profound. "The American consumer will continue to pay for fuel, food and heat," said University of Maryland economist Peter Morici. "But they will give everything else up," he said. "That's going to make it harder to sell the average consumer a television, a suit, or even a meal at a restaurant."............http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/May30/3011.html
New survivalists prepare for future energy crisis(this is not immoral unless people immorally neglect there neighbor and forget it is GOD who will always provide or those HE LOVES)
A few years ago, Kathleen Breault was just another suburban grandma, driving countless hours every week, stopping for lunch at McDonald's, buying clothes at the mall, watching TV in the evenings. That was before Breault heard an author talk about the bleak future of the world's oil supply. Now, she's preparing for the world as we know it to disappear. Breault cut her driving time in half. She switched to a diet of locally grown foods near her upstate New York home and lost 70 pounds. She sliced up her credit cards, banished her television and swore off plane travel. She began relying on a wood-burning stove. Convinced the planet's oil supply is dwindling and the world's economies are heading for a crash, some people around the country are moving onto homesteads, learning to live off their land, conserving fuel and, in some cases, stocking up on guns they expect to use to defend themselves and their supplies from desperate crowds of people who didn't prepare. These energy survivalists are not leading some sort of green revolution meant to save the planet. Many of them believe it is too late for that, seeing signs in soaring fuel and food prices and a faltering U.S. economy, and are largely focused on saving themselves. Some are doing it quietly, giving few details of their preparations - afraid that revealing such information as the location of their supplies will endanger themselves and their loved ones. They envision a future in which the nation's cities will be filled with hungry, desperate refugees forced to go looking for food, shelter and water. "There's going to be things that happen when people can't get things that they need for themselves and their families," said Lynn-Marie, who believes cities could see a rise in violence as early as 2012............hmmmmmmmmmmm PNW
Every adult in Britain forced to carry 'carbon ration cards?
Every adult should be forced to use a 'carbon ration card' when they pay for petrol, airline tickets or household energy, MPs say. The influential Environmental Audit Committee says a personal carbon trading scheme is the best and fairest way of cutting Britain's CO2 emissions without penalising the poor. Under the scheme, everyone would be given an annual carbon allowance to use when buying oil, gas, electricity and flights. Anyone who exceeds their entitlement would have to buy top-up credits from individuals who haven't used up their allowance. The amount paid would be driven by market forces and the deal done through a specialist company. The idea of personal carbon trading is increasingly being promoted by environmentalists. In theory it could be used to cover all purchases - from petrol to food. For the scheme to work, the Government would need to give out 45million carbon cards - each one linked to a personal carbon account. Every year, the account would be credited with a notional amount of CO2 in kilograms. Every time someone makes a purchase of petrol, energy or airline tickets, they would use up credits. A return flight from London to Rome would, for instance, use up 900kg of CO2 credits, while 10 litres of petrol would use up 23kg..........PNW
Surging inflation will stoke riots and conflict between nations, gap between rich and poor will worsen
Riots, protests and political unrest could multiply in the developing world as soaring inflation widens the gap between the "haves" and the "have nots", an investment bank predicted yesterday. Economists at Merrill Lynch view inflation as an "accident waiting to happen". As prices for food and commodities surge, the bank expects global inflation to rise from 3.5% to 4.9% this year. In emerging markets, the average rate is to be 7.3%. The cost of food and fuel has already been cited as a factor leading to violence in Haiti, protests by Argentinian farmers and riots in sub-Saharan Africa, including attacks on immigrants in South African townships. Merrill's chief international economist, Alex Patelis, said this could be the tip of the iceberg, warning of more trouble "between nations and within nations" as people struggle to pay for everyday goods. "Inflation has distributional effects. If everyone's income moved by the same rate, you wouldn't care - but it doesn't," said Patelis. "You have pensioners on fixed pensions. Some people produce rice that triples in price, while others consume it." Unless policymakers take action to dampen prices and wages, Merrill says sudden shortages could become more frequent. The bank cited power cuts in South Africa and a run on rice in Californian supermarkets as recent examples. "You're going to see tension between nations and within nations," said Patelis. Last month, the World Bank's president, Robert Zoellick, suggested that 33 countries could erupt in social unrest following a rise of as much as 80% in food prices over three years.........PNW

On Bartlett - he's NEVER said he would vote for ANWR under any circumstances - he's making up stuff now to justify a weak move on his part that will do nothing to ease gas prices, or decrease dependence on foreign oil - EVEN when it finally gets to peak production in 2020.
As for WHY gas prices are so high...our refineries are operating at 85% now, oil is not in short supply - but speculators on wall street and elsewhere certainly are not.
If you want to drill something, drill Florida's coastline where Bush and his brother Jeb have protected the beaches for political purposes. It seems they like getting elected and FLA doesn't like oily beaches.
Driving up the price of futures is driving up the price at the pump. The good old marketplace at work. You might try looking where the "greenies" aren't first. You will find some truth there.
Blaming those who preach conservation is a pathetic slight-of-hand. If you believe in supply and demand, then reducing demand is a good thing for prices. we are using slightly less gas but the price keeps jumping.
Show me the logic in that.
